Indulge in white truffles at Gordon Grill this November
Fans of the white Alba truffles or ‘trifola d’ Alba’ will be thrilled to learn of their arrival at Gordon Grill during the month of November 2015. Hailing from Piedmont, North Italy, they are typically enjoyed freshly shaved over dishes that bring out the alluring perfume of these treasured gems. Gordon Grill’s Executive Chef Gan Swee Lai will present 12 delectable new creations that best complement the white truffles, especially for this promotion. White truffle shavings are available at $26 per two grams.
Kick start your meal with the Wagyu beef carpaccio, celeriac remoulade, micro greens and creamy white truffle vinaigrette ($30) or Roasted Dublin prawns, cauliflower puree and morel mushrooms ($32). The elegant Hokkaido scallops, Jerusalem artichoke velouté and jamon Ibérico ($22) also make a memorable start to the meal.
The White truffle scrambled eggs with green asparagus ($24); Egg cocotte, seasonal mushrooms, smoked potato foam and chorizo ($28) and Egg confit with Spanish pork ‘blanquette’ ($30) are perfect dishes to go with additional freshly shaved truffle. Guests will also enjoy the interplay of flavours in the Cold angel hair pasta with seaweed, farm caviar and white truffle vinaigrette ($30); Farm duck agnolotti, braised lettuce and a light white truffle sauce ($30) and White truffle risotto parmigiano reggiano cheese ($28).
End the meal on an aromatic sweet note with reinvented classics such as Apple tarte tatin with white truffle ice cream ($16) or Chestnut and white truffle crème brûlée ($16). The White truffle ice cream ($8) is also available by the scoop.
