New Weekend Dim Sum Buffet Brunch at Mitzo Restaurant & Bar
Dim Sum, which means ‘touching the heart’ in Cantonese, is an age-old Chinese culinary art closely associated to the traditional custom of Yum Cha. Dim Sum has always been synonymous with tea – and inviting friends to yum cha literally translates to “Shall we have tea?”.
Chic dining destination, Mitzo Restaurant & Bar, has launched a new contemporary Cantonese brunch that features sublime and tortuous cocktails, in place of traditional tea, carefully paired to complete your Dim Sum experience. Let Mitzo’s interpretation of your weekend Yum Cha, satisfy you with a heady mix of gastronomy, cocktails and music.
The new weekend brunch is set to tantalise your taste buds. Sit back and savour a smorgasbord of authentic Cantonese delights amidst plush décor and contemporary design, and shake-up your very own tea-infused concoctions at the DIY cocktail station.
Available every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays at $68++ per person, diners can enjoy unlimited servings of more than 40 delectable authentic Cantonese dishes, served over six courses – Roasts, Dim Sum, Appetiser or Soup, Main Course, Rice, Noodles or Congee, and Desserts.
Designed to please even the most discerning diner, the new brunch menu features several of Mitzo’s signatures – Mitzo special barbecued pork, as well as chef’s take on the Chinese pork sliders (affectionately known as Kong Bak Pao) – the Crispy pork belly bun. Guests are served tableside, as the chef carves up slices of succulent crispy pork belly – roasted to perfection, to wrap in piping hot steamed buns.
Other must-try dishes include several exciting new plates – Wasabi-infused baked fish, Crispy prawns with spicy mango, Stir-fried osmanthus chicken, Pan-fried ribeye in wasabi and Korean chilli, among others.
What is a weekend brunch without an imaginative array of intoxicating concoctions? With an additional $50++ per person, diners can enjoy free flow of selected cocktails, wines, and beers for the ultimate dim sum and cocktail experience, including a line-up of toast worthy cocktails such as the updated classics Shiso Mojito, or Mitzo creations Milky Way.
For the more adventurous, a specially created DIY cocktail station at the Cocktail Atelier offers diners a chance to try their hand at making their own concoctions, guided by Mitzo’s skilful bartender.
Each month, the cocktail station features an array of tea-infused alcohol base for a progressive pairing of concoctions that are appetizing, refreshing and revitalizing to accompany your meal.
In the month of August, Mitzo is featuring the Scented Twister, which has a cognac-infused jasmine tea base shaken with homemade goji berry syrup and lemon juice topped with aromatic guava soda for a well-balanced scented cocktail, or the Berry Delight made with vodka-infused mixed flower tea, shaken with apple rose syrup and lemon juice, topped with fruity cranberry soda for a refreshing classic cocktail with an Asian twist, and the Brilliant Stardust with a gin infused chrysanthemum tea base, ginger syrup and lemon juice, a hint of rose-water, topped with aromatic apple soda for a refreshing feel.
Mitzo Weekend Brunch is available every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
