Yes, it’s time again to decide where to take Mum out on her special day. Jade’s Master Chef Leong Chee Yeng has also tailored a gourmet 6-course Mother’s Day set menu for the occasion. This Mother’s Day, give your mum a truly unique and rare dining experience at Singapore’s only ‘dine in the dark’ restaurant. Defying tradition, the dinner only restaurant, NOX – Dine in the dark is opening its doors to diners for lunch, for one day only, on 10th May. Choose between a two-course or three-course menu, the Mother’s Day set lunch comes with a complementary glass of sparkling wine, coffee/tea, and petit four. Diners start off the afternoon with a glass of complimentary prosecco in the stylish (and lit) lounge area of the restaurant. NOX – Dine in the Dark then serves up a distinctly styled amuse bouche that would tantalize the most discerning of taste buds, before leading the diners into the pitch-black dining room. There, diners will be served an 8 or 12 dish tasting menu (depending on guests’ preference) and guided by blind and visually-impaired hosts who have been specially trained to offer guidance and reassurance to sighted guests. Get ready to indulge in an array of mouthwatering dishes such as Chef Chan’s signature Shredded Scallops with Fish & Egg White, and the Prima Tower specialty Authentic Barbecued Peking Duck, which is expertly carved up and served tableside. Also tuck into a comforting serving of Fish Maw & Seafood in Thick Soup and hearty Stewed Pork Ribs served with buns, before ending with a sweet light note of Osmanthus & Wolfberry Jelly. If you opt for the Exclusive Set Menu, you will get to try the Authentic Barbecued Peking Duck, and start the meal with the Sliced Lobster with Salad, before moving on to the Steamed Soon Hock in Teochew Style.
