If you’re planning a grand Christmas dinner or a more intimate festive gathering this festive season, Italian Gourmet Deli Da Paolo Gastronomia has got you covered with their Italian-style yuletide delights. Specially created by Group Executive Chef Andrea Scarpa, there are a selection of sweet and savoury gourmet treats to choose from. Here are some of our favourites.

For a more lavish dish, the Boneless Sous-Vide Cooked Turkey stuffed with Cotechino, Porchetta and Duck Leg Confit ($278, 4kg whole bird serves 10-12pax) will not disappoint. This impressive dish is a roulade of four scrumptious meats of deboned USDA-certified free range young turkey stuffed with traditional Italian Cotecchino sausage and duck leg confit slices that are wrapped with a slice of slow-roasted classic Italian pork roast, Porchetta. Filled with layer upon layer of delectable texture and flavour, the stuffed turkey is accompanied with veal jus and brandy flavoured fig sauce for added sweet-savoury taste. It’s savoury, hearty alternatives to turkey, and they are packed with enough flavour and surprise to satisfy everyone.

Other enticing Gastronomia roast creations are  Sous Vide Cooked & Roasted Chestnut-crusted Grain-fed Angus Ribeye ($188, 1.6kg). This premium grain-fed beef ribeye is marinated in herbs, brandy, mustard, sea salt and encrusted with sweet chestnuts. Cooked sous vide-style to meidum-rare doneness, served with veal jus and chestnut cream sauce for the ultimate meaty treat. The Boneless Roasted Chicken with Porcini Mushrooms, Taleggio Cheese and Cranberries ($98, 1.5kg) is a moist whole deboned roasted chicken brimming with mushrooms, cheese, rich chicken liver mousse and cranberries stuffing finished with intense veal jus and sweet Granny Smith apple white wine compote. There’s always the classic Honey Bake Ham ($78, 1kg) for an appetising start to a great feast.

Not quite your average Log cake, Three Log Cakes ($89, 1.5kg) is the highlight of Gastronomia’s christmas desserts. Pastry chef at Da Paolo has combined three log cakes into one. This trio of chocolate logs will definitely delight any chocolate fans. Start with the lightest, the ground almond cake with a crispy chocolate hazelnut feuilletine centre. Next, savour the rich caramel cream chocolate cake studded with crunch Valrhona chocolate pearls. Finish off with the velvety Vairhona chocolate cake with brandied dark chocolate ganache for a satisfying dessert.
