Jalan Besar is all set to to be the next hip and happening dining district, with nice eateries such as Antoinette, Chye Seng Huat, Si Chuan Dou Hua, Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant and Broadcast HQ. The latest to join the crowd is Suprette – a restaurant, bar and cafe.
The name says it all. Derived from a kiwi term used to describe a “corner shop”, Suprette is snugly tucked in a corner along Jalan Besar. This cozy little restaurant is located in the nostalgic yet modern boutique Kam Leng Hotel and serves up American-inspired fares such as the Suprette burger (from $19), hanger steak and marrow ($28), French onion soup ($8), chicken pot pie ($14), ricotta pancakes ($14) and corned beef hash ($14).
Suprette also has a good selection of whiskies (single malts), Asahi on tap, a stash of craft beers, wines and Suprette signature cocktails to complement your meal. As a special treat, you can enjoy their very own Suprette beer, which is custom-brewed for seven days. Brew Night occurs every last Saturday of the month where half-pint samplers of our inhouse brew are given out to patrons.
Buzzy yet comfortable, Suprette makes the perfect destination for a big night out or a laidback Sunday brunch.
