Swensen’s dishes up new menu
Keeping to its philosophy of ‘offering more than just ice cream and bringing people together for hearty meals and shared memories over a fun and friendly casual dining experience,’ Swensen’s Singapore recently revamped its menu to make their guests’ dining experience more exciting.
Loyal Swensen’s fans will be pleased to discover over ten new menu additions, from drool-worthy appetizers to hearty mains and signature ice cream treats. Start your meal with King Prawn Salad with Apple Dressing ($14.90), a refreshing appetizer with sweet succulent king prawns tossed with mixed vegetables, cherry tomatoes, diced cheese and completed with homemade apple dressing.
Those with adventurous taste buds can go for Deep Fried Blue Mussels ($10.40), succulent blue mussels coated with chef’s special batter and fried to a golden brown for that perfectly crispy exterior which yields to a plump juicy interior. Love a good burger? The Swensen’s Ultimate Chicken Burger ($14.80) is the dish for you. A satisfying tower of plump and juicy breaded chicken fried to perfection, drizzled generously with creamy sauce and chef’s special jackfruit salsa for a fruity, tangy twist. Served with crispy golden fries and salad; a true ultimate.
If you are extremely hungry and think you can devour a whole game hen on your own, go for the Juicy Game Hen with Homemade BBQ Sauce ($16.90). Succulent young game hen fried to perfection, with a glistering golden brown skin and tender juicy flesh accompanied by Swensen’s signature BBQ sauce.
Meat lovers can get the best of both worlds with Swensen’s Surf & Turf ($17.90 – see main image above)! Thick and juicy beef patty oozing with heavenly melted cheese, paired with succulent whole king prawns and crispy onion rings. The Crispy Cornflake Chicken ($15.50) may sound a little out of this world but you’ll be surprised how well your favourite breakfast cereal can taste when paired with succulent and moist boneless chicken.
One can hardly go wrong with a classic steak sandwich. Swensen’s rendition is the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich ($14.90), which features artisanal ciabatta bun, scrumptious slices of grilled sirloin steak, topped with sautéed mushrooms and oh-so-good melted cheese. Carb lovers will enjoy the Crabmeat Baked Rice ($14.90). Indulge in this Swensen’s signature oven baked rice featuring sweet delicate crabmeat and savory rice, smothered with lusciously creamy sauce and gooey melted cheese baked to golden brown perfection.
Another new item on the menu is the Spicy Seafood Pasta with Grilled Scallops ($15.90). Tossed in spicy tomato cream sauce, the pasta is served with fresh grilled large scallops, mussels and prawns.
A trip to Swensen’s is never complete without desserts, so those with a sweet-tooth disposition, you can relish in an indulgent serving of Salted Gula Melaka Heaven ($9.90). Completed with chocolate balls, diced almonds and chocolate morsels, the Salted Gula Melaka Heaven is nothing short of pure indulgence. If you can’t get enough of Gula Melaka, the new Salted Gula Melaka Ice Cream – sweet and fragrant ice cream with a touch of salt will definitely satisfy your craving.
