Italian Gourmet food chain Da Paolo has brought their version of the New York phenomenal, the Cronut, to pastry lovers in Singapore. Cronut is a croissant and donut hybrid which has New Yorkers frantically queuing to get their hands on. It’s has now even taken the world by storm.

The Crodo by Da Paolo Gastronomia , may appear like a donut, is made from croissant dough which is deep-fried then cream filled and finished with a sweet glaze. Donut fans can now enjoy a donut with the luscious texture of a croissant while Croissant lovers can enjoy the same light fluffy delicate layers of the Croissant paired adventurously with the sweet fried sugared delights of the Donut.

With a choice of two flavours, each Crodo is priced at $4.90. For the sweet tooth, enjoy the generous and sinfully delicious rich custard cream filling of the Cream flavour Crodo. The Chocolate Crodo is a delight where you can enjoy the light lovely taste and texture of the pastry topped with the wonderful bittersweet chocolate. The Crodos are handmade daily in limited quantities, you can be assured of the freshness.

The Crodo fever is taking Singapore by storm. It’s probably the new cupcake! Head down early to Da Paolo Gastronomia outlets before they are all sold out.
