Burger King at The Central in Clarke Quay reopened this month after a complete makeover. The newly revamped fast food outlet has a warm, inviting feeling. With stylish wooden flooring, diners get to sit on two types of quaint wooden chairs with wood paneling on the ceiling and an interesting brick feature wall at the back. Decorated with quaint lamps and mood spotlights, it’s a nice setting to start the day with a BK breakfast, enjoy a cup of tea, a hearty Burger King meal or just to hang out with good friends.
Also at Burger King now, you get to enjoy the Rendang Burger – a Taste of Singapore promotional menu. The signature BK flame grilled Beef burger or the BK Crispy Chicken burger is topped with local Rendang sauce of secret spices for an irresistibly sedap flavour. There’s a choice of BK Singles Redang, BK Rendang Chicken, BK Rendang Deluxe (with Turkey Bacon) and BK Rendang Chick’n Crisp. The rendang burger meal is at $4.95 and it includes a 16oz drink and medium fries. If you are dinng with a friend, go for their Rendang Kaki Meal ($9.95) for good variety and value. The kaki set comes with two burgers, choice of BK Rendang Chick’n Crisp or BK Singles Rendang, Fries or BK Onion Rings, two Drumlets and four Chicken Tenders. Wash down the meal with a refreshing Nestle Sjora, which seems to be the rage in most fast food outlets now. This premium nutritional beverage from the Nestle stable is made from a blend of milk and fruit juices for a healthier beverage alternative.
