The season for asparagus is upon us. Prized for its tender yet succulent stems and delicate sweet flavour, it is regularly described as nutritional power house as they are packed with vitamins and antioxidants.

From now till 9 June 2013, enjoy Michelin-starred Chef Laurent Peugeot unique take on asparagus in a splendid five-course menu at LP+Tetsu, a contemporary French-Japanese fine dining restaurant at Tanglin Mall. All the asparagus will be specially flown in from France. You can look forward to tasting four kinds of asparagus from white to purple to wild and green.  Savour Chef Peugeot’s creations of giant white asparagus with kumquat sabayon with John Dory fish, purple asparagus with goat cheese caramelised with pistachio, green asparagus creme brulee and more.

You also have the option of choosing wine pairing. Premium wines such as the Pouilly-Loche Domaine Alain Delaye 2009 and Corton Grand Cru “Bressandes” Domaine Dubreil-Fontaine 2009 are carefully selected by the chef to complement the asparagus-inspired dishes.

The special five-course LP+Tetsu’s asparagus menu is priced at $138++ per person (without wine pairing) or $198++ per person (with wine pairing).
