Ramen culture in Singapore took a few leaps in the past year, with many popular Japanese ramen chains budding in this small island. The newest player on the scene is Ramen Keisuke Tori King by chef and owner Mr. Keisuke Takeda.
Ramen Keisuke Tori King is his third restaurant in Singapore, following the successful Ramen Dining Keisuke Tokyo and Keisuke Tonkotsu King. Located at the newly renovated Amara Hotel Shopping Mall, fans of ramen can expect exciting ramen creations from Mr. Keisuke Takeda at this new 32-seater restaurant.
“Tori” in Japanese means “chicken” and it’s the main ingredient used at this new restaurant. What makes Tori King Ramen exceptional lies in the broth, made from ingredients such as chicken bones, chicken feet, Japanese seaweed and an assortment of vegetables boiled for eight hours to extract their individually essential flavours. These specially selected elements come together to create a tantalizing and creamy chicken broth, which is layered and deeply comforting.
If you love spicy food, you are in for a treat with an unusual item on the menu—Green Spicy Tori King Ramen ($12.90 – $16.90). The sauce is made from wasabi, which packs a tasty punch without compromising the flavour of the broth. The chicken thigh is grilled to perfection, boasting lovely grill lines while keeping the meat juicy and tender inside.
Other must-tries include Black Spicy Tori King Ramen Special with All Toppings ($16.90), which includes an amazing tender chicken thigh with a huge slice of pork loin, tamago and seaweed (See main image above). If you like it simple, go for the Tori King Ramen with flavoured egg ($13.90).
Ramen Keisuke Tori King also offers unlimited complimentary hard-boiled eggs in a basket, slightly spicy beansprouts and aromatic grind-them-yourself sesame seeds on the side for all diners.
With its al dente noodles, subtly rich broth and beautifully grilled chicken thigh, Ramen Keisuke Tori King is sure to whet any ramen lover’s appetite.
