Tokyo’s famous ramen chain-restaurant has finally set foot in Singapore at the basement of Scotts Square. This is their 12th outlet outside Japan and they are known for serving up bowls of collagen-rich ramen.

What makes this ramen fastfood restaurant stands out from the rest is that they use chicken soup instead of the usual pork-based ramen soup broth. The chicken soup was slow cooked for 6 hours to give the broth a richer taste and an added flavour to the ramen. The collagen-rich chicken-based broth complemented the noodles well. The ultrafine ramen noodles are produced in-house and it has a crunchy texture which makes every mouthful an interesting experience.

The must-tries include its signature ramen selections such as the Marukin Ramen serves with potato salad and a bowl of mushroom rice, the Negi-Negi veggie lover’s delight ramen, the Tori Zukushi Ramen, a yummy selection complete with succulent slices of chicken chasyu, chicken meat balls, chicken wing and kikurage mushrooms, the wholesome ISSAI-GASSAI Ramen which promises a hearty serving all of key ingredients. The ramens are available as spicy and non spicy versions in four different soup base: shoyu chicken white soup, shio chicken white soup, miso chicken white soup and the shoyu chicken clear soup.

The menu starts from $3.90 for side dishes to $17.90 for their premium ramen selections.Takeaway is also available at Marukin Ramen.
